Level Eater is a Chicago D&D event that has happened in some form or another for the past 9 years. The main event is a 5e tournament game in the evening, but this year they had an afternoon of open gaming. I talked to the organizers and reserved a table to run a DCC game. I ran the Hypercube of Myt. We had 6 players, 3 of whom were new to DCC. it happened at Co-Prosperity Sphere at
Saturday night at 6 PM. DCC is playing the level 1 Mutant Crawl Classic post-apocalyptic adventure “Assault on the Sky High Tower”. You are a brand new team of Seekers being sent on your first official mission to obtain artifacts of the ancients for your tribe. We’ll start at 6 to roll up new characters from last week. I will have some pregens ready for new people who want to play. I also have a selection of Epic PC’s with artifacts and high stats. We’ll roll to see who gets the awesome OP character. Located at The Hydras Lair of Carson City, NV this weekly game is ran on Thursdays and is open for anyone interested to drop-in and play, irregardless of previous experience in tabletop gaming. Pre-made characters, dice, pencils, and even a spare rulebook are available, you just need to bring yourself and your imagination! Composed mostly of a homebrewed world with various pre-written modules used as direct adventure fillers or where significant inspiration is taken from, DCC is a lethal experience where death is so common, the makers even made a DEAD stamp for the game. You will lose a character, it’s inevitable.

DCC is an OSR style game. We will play a level 0 funnel. Each player will play several randomly generated villagers at once, assuming most will die.
I will provide character sheets, dice, pencils, and Quick start guides. At the end of the session you may keep the quick start guides.
No experience necessary: We will create characters together and teach the rules as we play. I will have room for 8 players so let me know if you plan to attend so that I can save your spot.
