We at the Sanctum Secorum would like to extend a hearty congratulations to MCC creator Jim Wampler on the launch of his new podcast Designers & Discourses. If you have not yet listened to the inaugural episode featuring Michael Curtis discussing the creation of the Chained Coffin, you are in for a rare treat!

Question for Jim Wampler – How does a party get out of The Hypercube of Myt? I can not find out how this happens from what I can read from the module. Thanks.

While I’m not Jim Wampler, I’ll see if I can help you unravel this. As a funnel tournament, I don’t know as there is meant to be a way for the party to get out. Still, it would be easy enough to set an escape condition that allows an exit (or every exit) to deposit the party back into the world if you wanted to use this for campaign play.
Thanks.
I heard Jim on the podcast Save or Die! and they were reviewing the classic module Temple of Death. I was preparing my group to go through this at the time. In the podcast they talked about what they thought was cool and not cool about the adventure and they mentioned that in the module there is a opportunity (if the DM wanted to) for the party to get to the moon. It is on the moon that the party stumbles upon the Hypercube of Myt.
