The planet was Earth. The time was fifty thousand years from now. Magic and witchcraft worked and the Old Science didn’t. Why this was so, nobody knew – it had always been that way during the long tyranny of the Empire of the East. During that same period there had always been little bands of rebels using fragments of white magic against the demonic armies. Rolf was the latest of these rebels – and he had on his side the mysterious power known as Ardneh.
When Rolf finally finds Ardneh, he learns of the Change through which Ardneh forced technology to be replaced by magic in this alternate Earth of a far distant future. The discovery of Ardneh’s origin, the climactic showdown of fifty millennia of cosmic contention, and Rolf’s part in it, combine to make a thrilling adventure that concludes the struggle between the Old Technology and the New Demonology.

We have often mentioned the upcoming selections of the Appendix N Book Club run in Brooklyn by Spellburn‘s Judge Jeff Goad. Lamentably, a good number of folks who would love to attend those discussions (including our Keeper’s of Mysteries) are not local to the group. This leaves a number of folks hungry for more Appendix N discussions.
Ask and ye shall receive. Judge Jeff Goad and his co-host Ngo Vinh-Hoi have launched a new podcast, The Appendix N Book Club. We are pleased to welcome this new addition to the Appendix N Podcasting community (seriously, there are very few) and we hope that they have a nice long run. Be sure to check them out!
Following up on the success of the scratch-off character sheets in last year’s holiday adventure, Twilight of the Solstice, Goodman Games has rolled out a new kickstarter. This effort, to print packets of scratch-off character sheets. The pre-generated characters draw upon a database of 50,000 0-level characters (provided by Jon Marr of Purple Sorcerer and Crawler’s Companion fame).
While the rest of the world may be holding its collective breath in anticipation of the August 1st release of the Mutant Crawl Classics hardcover, Kickstarter backers were rewarded today with the PDF of the book. Our heartfelt congratulations to Jim Wampler and his team of mutants on birthing this awesome tome…
