2 years ago South West Florida lost an icon of the gaming community. Big Katts ( Comic Warehouse) was more than a shop, it was a landmark. A place for gamers to meet, play, and grow.
Many of us played our first games with Bob, Chris, and French watch over our shoulders and many of us found a second home in that little storage unit. for decades, they helped to raise generations of gamers and comic lovers. Without them, Dungeon Games wouldn’t exist.
So, on September 3rd, Dungeon Games, 2 Drop Game Shop, and Sparks Gaming lounge will be holding fund raisers to raise money for the Kobzina family. Each of us will be doing something different so you can find an event that is to your tastes.
Here’s what we have going on:
We suggest a minimum of a $5 donation per person to use table space.
We will raffle off numerous new board games throughout the day
We have a custom Dungeon Crawl Classics game being run by Bob Brinkman.
$20 MTG Drafts with 60% of the entry going to the family.
All used RPG books sold will be 100% donated
30% of all profits for the day will be donated
More to come!

Now then….the DCC part. Dungeon Games in Estero, FL is the FLGS of several of us and Jen and I often run events there. This is a little different though, this event is to raise money for a family in need, a family that was once a central hub of SW Florida gaming. So, there is a “table fee” to play. I’m a firm believer of making it worth people’s while if they need to pay to play.
Above you will see the line “a custom Dungeon Crawl Classics game being run by Bob Brinkman.” That is true….what it doesn’t tell you is that it will be the first playtest, ANYWHERE, of Skull & Crossbones Classics…the pirate DCC rule set that I’ve begun working on. The adventure? “Drink and the Devil…”
So, if that sounds like your thing? Come on out and support a worthwhile event.
