Brant’s life had been hard after the courts had sent him to the penal colony on Trivium Charontis on Mars. Since working his way to freedom, he had run guns to the High Clan princes, sold them liquor and forbidden tobacco, and peddled narcotics to the soft, timid Earthsider clerks. He had stolen, he had cheated at cards, he had killed a man more than once…
Now, fleeing from justice across the ancient dust oceans of Mars he had no way of knowing that he was running toward the most fantastic adventure and man had ever lived – toward refuge more absolute that any man had ever dreamed of – by the banks of secret rivers, in caverns yet unmeasured by man, on the shore of a sea the sun had never seen!
Welcome to the Sanctum Secorum podcast. In this episode we cast our gaze skyward to the Mars of Lin Carter’s Down to a Sunless Sea and to Harley Stroh’s Peril on the Purple Planet.
In addition, we have bonus content to bring to your game: items, monsters, and so much more…after the jump.

Hole in the head disease is an actual thing for cichlids. I had an oscar die of it.
Another inspiring episode, that I listened to tonight while working on some stuff for Dave – which makes it more personal – try and get that from any other kind of media! And yes, you can gladly guilt me into more art for the show once I get our household moved at the end of June.
Hi guys, great show. Regarding your request for art for the zines. What specifically are you looking for? Do you have any briefs? I would love to contribute if I can.
We are pretty loose and free with what we accept because the community creates so many wonderful things in so many formats. We’d prefer images be at least 200dpi for inclusion, but beyond that? Hand drawn, photo, professional, your 5-year old kid, and anything in between. 🙂
We generally announce our upcoming episode at the end of the current one, and can always use artistic creations after the fact as well. In fact, our latest companion had a monster from our April episode, and new stats inspired to go along with it. If you have any specific questions drop us a line at TheHub@Sanctum.Media but honestly, we’re thrilled with outside content for our efforts and are fortunate enough to be a part of a community that is so diverse and creative.
