Our hearts grow heavy every time we announce sad news such as this, but another member of our community has gone from us. John Homan was a member of the DCC RPG Rocks community as well as a stalwart at the gaming tables of Elkhart, IN. Beyond his life as a gamer, John was an MLL Paraprofessional/Teacher at Northridge Middle School who’s final words were written to protect the students at his school. He will be missed by our community, his students, and his family…and all who knew him.
In his memory, we ask that you join the members of the Elkhart Community Schools (ECS) Parent Coalition and voice your support for Indiana HB 1483 – Discipline rules regarding bullying.

We miss John at our table. He taught us so much that we didn’t realize it until he was no longer able to be at our table. May we all keep an empty chair at the table to welcome new players and remember those who aren’t with us anymore. Celebrate what we have learned and remember to be respectful to all who come to the table.
